Back to Home pageWild Peaks is a collection of original beer mugs by Alaskan MAKER, inspired by two worlds: mountains and wild animals. Each mug features a 3D relief that changes depending on the viewing angle: from the side, the relief forms a mountain; from above, it reveals the head of an animal.
Grizzly, Wolf, Fox or Mouflon: each of the four designs has its own unique relief, specifically shaped so that the mountain profile also forms the head of the animal. With a capacity of 600 ml and a weight of 980 g, Wild Peaks is a substantial beer mug designed first and foremost for beer.
The distinctive feature of Wild Peaks lies in its relief. It is not simply an animal placed at the bottom of the mug: the shape has been designed to offer two different interpretations.
From the side, the relief forms a mountain landscape. Viewed from above, the very same shape reveals the head of a Grizzly, Wolf, Fox or Mouflon, depending on the design. As each animal requires a different shape, every mug has its own unique mountain relief.
Wild Peaks is available in four designs. Each beer mug combines a wild animal with its own specific mountain relief.
Viewed from the side, the mug reveals a mountain relief. From above, the shapes of the relief form the head of a grizzly bear. A design directly inspired by strength and the wild outdoors.
The relief of the Wolf design has been created to work from two angles: a mountain when viewed from the side and a wolf's head when the mug is viewed from above.
On the Fox design, the mountain relief has its own specific shape so that it reveals the head of a fox when viewed from above.
The Mouflon mug also combines a mountain relief viewed from the side with the shape of a mouflon's head when seen from above.
Each Wild Peaks mug is made from soda-lime glass. The mug is first moulded, then each piece is individually finished by hand.
During production, molten glass is poured into a mould under pressure so that the relief takes on the precise shape required. Each piece is then worked, finished and polished by hand. This process makes it possible to create the complex relief that gives Wild Peaks its dual mountain-and-animal design.
With its 600 ml capacity and 980 g weight, Wild Peaks fully embraces the format of a substantial beer mug. Its generous capacity and solid feel make it a glass designed for enjoying beer and sharing a convivial moment.
The collection is designed around both function and discovery: the relief gradually reveals itself as the beer is enjoyed, until the animal becomes fully visible when looking into the bottom of the mug.
