What is the 1% for the Planet?

The 1% for the Planet is a worldwide group of companies that have committed to donating 1% of their sales revenue  to environmental organisations.

The 1% for the Planet was created in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies.

This collective of corporate philanthropists has become one of the most important sources of funding for environmental protection in the world.

Nearly 1,300 companies in more than 60 countries are members and already 200 million euros have been donated to environmental associations since the creation of 1% for the Planet.


From January 2020, Alaskan MAKER will be a proud member of 1% for the Planet. It is a project of the heart supported by the team members. We are studying together the different NGOs that we would like to support in their action.
